Prospero, a betrayed spaceship captain, is marooned on a desert planet with his daughter Miranda. Prospero uses his mastery of magic and science to create a stellar storm that shipwrecks the very crew that betrayed him. Prospero's enemies are trapped on the planet and Prospero orchestrates a series of events to confront them.
